Our Biltong Slabs are the pinnacle of biltong, and these are our preferred way to sell biltong. By remaining unsliced, the slab maintains an unbelievable level of freshness until you're ready to eat it. Once you start slicing it, though, it likely won't take long before the whole thing is gone. When slicing it, you can choose how thick you want it, paper thin to thick meat chunk - whatever floats your boat. We prefer to make our slabs with medium dryness so that the inside is a beautiful pink color. We also include the fat by default, as that’s where a lot of the rich flavor comes from, but you can easily slice it off it that’s not your thing.
Enjoy it on it's own, add it to your favorite cheese / charcuterie board, toss it on a salad - the possibilities are endless! And it goes great with beer, wine or your favorite cocktail. It also loves going with you on any adventure or outing, just be sure to bring a knife.

Whenever you're ready to open your slab, we recommend transferring it to a brown paper bag (included with order), to absorb any moisture produced during vacuum packing, prior to slicing. It's best if consumed within 3 days of opening. Refrigerate after opening and we suggest storing it in the brown paper bag.
